Allen Fukada '86 Head of Digital Business & Technology at Cognizant Japan

Allen Fukada ’86 is Head of Digital Business at Cognizant Japan. Cognizant is an American multinational IT services and consulting company.

He was born and raised mostly in Japan, and graduated from an international school before attending Oxy. He served as a teaching assistant for Professor Lynn Miyake’s Japanese language class. At Oxy, he designed his own semester abroad, interning at a global financial services institution researching the dynamics of the regulatory industry.

After graduating in 1986, he spent a year working as a development intern in the Federated States of Micronesia. He met a Japanese entrepreneur while in Micronesia and accepted a position at his firm in Tokyo. That was the start of his ongoing career of working for various multinational organizations.

He is one of the Oxy alumni leaders in the Tokyo region and has a daughter who is currently attending Oxy.
